If you have been following along, you probably recognize her. The sweet pink cottage tucked into the trees in East Nashville at 2017 Hackberry Ln has officially sold.
This post is the closing chapter to my earlier feature, “A Pink Cottage in East Nashville That Feels Straight Out of a Storybook.” If you want the full details on the home’s charm, updates, and what made it so special, go read that post first, then come back here for the sale update.

2017 Hackberry Ln, Nashville, TN 37206 sold on March 11, 2026 for $500,000 after being listed at $475,000.
This was a 2 bedroom, 1 bath home with about 960 square feet, on a 0.41 acre lot.
We sold at $25,000 over asking, and had multiple offers after just two days on the market.

When I wrote the original storybook post, I talked about how rare it is to find a home that feels private and peaceful, while still being steps from Eastland Avenue and the places people love most in East Nashville.
That combination, plus the details below, is exactly why buyers paid attention immediately.
The lot is the kind you remember. Around 0.41 acres with mature trees, and that wet weather stream and little footbridge that made the backyard feel like a tiny retreat.
In the earlier blog feature, I outlined how the home’s improvements helped it live beautifully, including refinished original hardwoods and several major updates completed in 2018.
Buyers love old homes, but they also love knowing the big systems have been cared for.
Not every house needs to be pink, but every house benefits from being memorable. This one made people smile, it stood out in photos, and it was instantly recognizable. That matters in a market where most buyers are sorting through listings quickly.

My client trusted me and took my advice during the listing process, and it paid off! The money they invested to get their home ready to list had a great ROI. This home was a little worse for wear after some tenants moved out, but we had it deep cleaned, had the entire interior repainted, refinished the floors, changed out light fixtures, refreshed landscaping, staged it beautifully, and focused on its best features while marketing it.
When I list a house, I like to tell my clients that we’re doing some storytelling here–what makes this home special, and how can we help buyers see it and picture themselves here?
Selling a home requires not only data and market analysis, but creativity and good storytelling. Every home has a story to tell, and I’d love to help you tell yours!
