2025 has come and gone, and somehow we are already well into the new year. I have big goals for this season and a lot to look forward to, but one project in particular has me especially excited. Not only because it is in East Nashville (my favorite place), but because it is being developed by my wonderful husband and his team at Mission Development. Getting to collaborate in this way, both professionally and personally, makes this one extra special to me.
I am so excited to officially share Waters Townhomes, a small new development of three thoughtfully designed townhomes right in the heart of East Nashville.
The Location
These three homes will be within walking distance to some of our favorite neighborhood spots, including Cafe Roze, Riverside GrillShack, Jeni’s Ice Cream, and the Shops at Porter East. If you know me at all, you know walkability and neighborhood feel matter so much to me when it comes to loving where you live, and this location truly checks those boxes.
We have already broken ground, and footers will be poured soon, so things are officially happening. I cannot wait to share progress as these homes start to take shape.
The Floor Plans
There will be three townhomes total:
One will be a two bedroom, two and a half bath floor plan
Two will be three bedroom, three and a half bath floor plans
All three will have large garages and be built with a strong focus on craftsmanship and long term livability.
From the very beginning, the goal has been to create homes that feel comfortable, well designed, and rooted in the character of the surrounding neighborhood.
And now for the fun part…
The Design
Even though these homes are meant to be more affordable, that does not mean they need to feel basic or builder grade. We are leaning into texture, layers, and details that help these townhomes feel like they truly belong among the historic homes around them.
The overall aesthetic is warm, classic, and timeless, with materials and finishes that add interest without feeling trendy. I want these homes to feel beautiful on day one, but also still feel relevant and charming many years from now.
Designing with that balance in mind is always my goal, whether I am working on a historic renovation, a new build, or a small refresh for a client.
This is just the beginning, and I cannot wait to take you along as we move through framing, exterior finishes, interiors, and all the little decisions in between. I will be sharing behind the scenes, design choices, and construction updates over on Instagram and TikTok, along with my other real estate and design projects around Nashville.
If you are curious about new construction, love seeing design come together, or are simply here for East Nashville content and coffee shop breaks, you are in the right place. Contact us here to talk about how we can work together.
More soon, and thank you as always for following along and supporting both my real estate and design work. It truly means the world to me.
